Catrina was and is one of the most talented, but above all one of the most inspiring acting teachers I have ever had. Especially in her Shakespeare class, she taught us to think outside the box and helped us understand the plot of the play by pointing out similarities in contemporary modern society. She made me feel emotions during the act that I didn't even know I had, which helped me get through long and tough monologues. I can 100% recommend every single one of her classes!

As someone with many many years of experience in the amateur theatre sector, both as actor and director, I was more than just a little amazed at just how much Catrina could teach me. She has a profound knowledge of Shakespeare and his world and his works, as well of the mechanics of the theatre, how drama works on stage, and how the actor can/should contribute to the successful performance of a play. In addition, the workshop I attended was great fun, Catrina attracts a fascinating mix of people and only the most difficult of individuals would find it difficult to feel at home in the group. I'm looking forward, subject to pandemic conditions, to attending a course with Catrina in the autumn. For anyone with an interest in performing Shakespeare, directing Shakespeare or just simply in Shakespeare's works themselves, I can't imagine a better palce to go.

What I love about Catrina as a teacher when it comes to doing Shakespeare is how profoundly she understands the intricacies of each character, and how good she is at observing you as a student, which makes the feedback she is giving especially relevant and helpful.
Catrina manages to make Shakespeare understandable and relatable to everyone, yet preserve unique language and style of that era.
I love doing Shakespeare with her for always going beyond the lines, digging into the fundamental understanding of the character I’m portraying, and all the fun that comes along!
